The Peugeot 208 has been one of those small hatchbacks that we have always loved. The cute form factor and the performance that isn't cute at all is what the 208 is all about. Now, the French manufacturer has revealed the all-new 208 just ahead of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.[gallery size="full" ids="7698,7699,7700"]Redesigned from the ground up, this supermini is looking to be one of the most attractive hatches of 2019. Peugeot's signature tiger claw moniker makes its presence felt in the form of headlamps that come with full LED units in the top variant. Also the long slit of DRLs up front gives this hatchback a futuristic vibe. Wheels up to 17 inches in size are available, along with a black roof to contrast the main body color.[gallery size="full" ids="7707,7703,7704,7702,7706"]The inside of the 208 receives a complete overhaul only for the better. The 2019 Peugeot 208 uses the company’s fantastic i-Cockpit making some of its rivals look ancient. You get a 5,7 or a 10-inch touchscreen depending on the variants that is mounted up high.[gallery size="full" ids="7695,7696,7697"]Most of the controls have been integrated into the infotainment system, so physical buttons and switches have been kept down to a minimum which is always the way to go. Then you get the flat top and bottomed steering wheel like the 3008 SUV that adds more sport to this supermini.Powering this supermini is a choice of two oil burners under the bonnet. You get a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol that is offered in 5-speed or 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic transmission that will make 75, 100 and 130 horses respectively. Then there is a 1.5-litre diesel mated to a 6-speed manual that makes a hundred horses. Further details of the 208 will be released at Geneva.
